Transitions in Canada: From Early Childhood ÀóÖ¦Ö±²¥ and Care to Primary ÀóÖ¦Ö±²¥

This pan-Canadian companion report to the OECD’s Starting Strong V: Transitions from Early Childhood ÀóÖ¦Ö±²¥ and Care to Primary ÀóÖ¦Ö±²¥ places certain aspects of the early learning systems of Canada’s provinces and territories into an international context. This report focuses on the transitions experienced by children entering Kindergarten and Grade 1 across Canada, drawing on key pan-Canadian comparison findings from the OECD.

Bringing ÀóÖ¦Ö±²¥ in Canada to the World, Bringing the World to Canada: An International ÀóÖ¦Ö±²¥ Marketing Action Plan for Provinces and Territories

At the meeting of the Council of the Federation in July, 2011, provincial and territorial Premiers endorsed an International ÀóÖ¦Ö±²¥ Marketing Action Plan. The Action Plan identifies opportunities for federal-provincial-territorial collaboration on marketing aiming. In 2008, international students spent $6.5 billion in Canada and created over 83,000 jobs. By 2025, the global demand for international education is predicted to quadruple from 1.8 million to 7.2 million students.

Report of the Pan-Canadian Committee on Quality Assurance of Degree Programming: Quality Assurance of E-Learning and Private Institutions

This is a report of the discussions by the Pan-Canadian Committee on Quality Assurance of Degree Programming on the legal and quality-assurance issues associated with private institutions and the delivery of programs via e-learning. Where pertinent, issues involving degree granting in Northern Canada (Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut) are highlighted.

Report of the CMEC Quality Assurance Subcommittee, 2007

The Council of Ministers of ÀóÖ¦Ö±²¥, Canada (CMEC), established a subcommittee on quality assurance in 2004. Part of the mandate of this subcommittee is to report on provincial and territorial activities related to quality assurance. This is their first public report.
